US Bank on Larchmont Robbed Saturday Morning

Four patrol cars and a helicopter responded to a bank robbery early Saturday morning.

us bank 1The US Bank on Larchmont Blvd was robbed on Saturday morning at 9:45am by a white male who presented a demand note for cash and verbally threatened a bank teller. The teller complied with the demand fearing for the safety of bank customers, and the suspect fled on foot. Four patrol cars responded and helicopter air support was called in to encircle the location at 157 N Larchmont but the suspect got away.

The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old caucasian male, 5’6″ tall, 170-180 lbs, well groomed, with a goatee and wearing black framed clear glasses. Hair and eye color were not determined by witnesses. The bank was closed for the remainder of Saturday.

Anyone with information who may have seen the incident or the suspect is urged to call the LAPD Robbery/Homicide Section at 213-486-6840 and report to an officer on duty, or Detective Benjamin who is handling the case.
