Dozens of adorable children waited eagerly to enter a magical Brookside backyard for the annual Brookside Easter Egg Hunt Sunday afternoon. And waiting inside to great them were the Easter Bunny and CD4 City Council Member David Ryu, accompanied by his fiancé Regina Yoon and Senior Deputy Alice Roth. This is approximately the twelfth year Sandy Boeck has hosted the hunt in her lush backyard, complete with a storybook bridge over the Brookside Brook, which provided the perfect setting, along with perfect weather, for a delightful afternoon egg hunt.
“This kind of event is what makes Brookside, Brookside,” explained Boeck, who was aided by fellow neighbors Heather Crossne,r who brought all the food and drinks, and Jonathan Rudnick and his daughter Delilah Rudnick, who helped hide hundreds of eggs in Boeck’s two level garden, which provided lots of fun hiding places for eggs.
We hope we captured a sense of the fun and thanks to everyone for letting us post their photos!
