The signing of the state’s historic legislation to increase the minimum wage brought local news crews to Larchmont Village yesterday to get the reaction of local business owners. Village Pizzeria owner Steve Cohen spoke to KTLA- Channel 5 News and shared the video clip with the Buzz.
That is correct: the wage increases will translate into higher prices for consumers. Basic economics shows wages would naturally rise if we didn’t have an oversupply of labor due to a porous border.
