Los Angeles Garden Tour and Party Celebrates the Best of Spring

The Windsor Square Hancock Park Historical Society proudly presents their annual celebration of the beauty that exists around every corner in our neighborhood…the Los Angeles Garden Tour and Party. Explore the private gardens of six neighborhood homes! Enjoy an educational lecture about gardening. And top it all off with a silent auction, a lovely dinner and a celebration of honorees who have contributed to the betterment of our city. All set in the garden at Getty House, the Official Residence of the Mayor of Los Angeles.

The event takes place on Sunday, April 22nd, 2012.  A self-guided tour of six local gardens runs from 12p-4p – exact locations will be announced at the event. At 4p, all guests will return to Getty House for a lecture, silent auction and a delicious dinner in the garden.

Tickets are $65 and are on sale now – click here for details on payment options.

All monies raised will go to fund three projects:

  • Greening of Fire Station #52 at Melrose and Western
  • Greening of Fire Station #61 at 3rd and Alta Vista
  • Greening of the median at 6th Street and Norton Avenue (entryway to Windsor Square and Hancock Park)

This is a great event to gather your neighbors/friends and make a day of it! It’s a unique opportunity to tour these private gardens – to see what’s behind the walls and get to know the neighborhood in a deeper way. We hope to see you there – it wouldn’t be a garden party without a few bees!
