Wilshire Softball Gets Ready for Spring 2012 with Early Registration

Girls’ Softball is going strong! And Wilshire Softball has grown into a competitive league that gives local girls the opportunity to play ball against both local and regional area teams. Plus, it’s just a lot of fun for the girls to have “a league of their own”!

Wilshire Softball is holding early registration now through December 31st. Registration for the Spring season is just $170 through 12/31 – and then it’s the full price of $195 after that.

Wilshire Softball serves girls ages 5-14.

The league will be holding evaluations on Saturday, January 28th.  Practices will start the following week – January 30th through February 3rd, 2012. Games will run through the final weekend – the weekend of April 28th-29th.

Most games are on Sunday and are held at either Lemon Grove or Queen Anne fields.

Head on over to the Wilshire Softball site at – http://www.wilshiresoftball.com to register!

IMPROVED FIELDS!

Wilshire Softball has succesfully obtained permits from the City of Los Angeles to make major field improvements at Lemon Grove Park and Queen Anne Recreation Center, their two primary field locations.  Other community groups will also benefit from the improvements, including the parks’ own rec ball teams.  Click below for a fact sheet about the project.

Now, when you see those softball players on Larchmont trying to raise money through bake sales you will know what it’s all about! They are working hard in a variety of ways to raise the $40,000 it will take to make these improvements.
