Carolyn Ramsay, candidate for CD 4, won the endorsement this week of the LA Daily News.

“With its unusual blend of residential areas, urban wilderness and commercial and cultural centers, District 4 needs a City Council representative with wide local knowledge and experience with a range of L.A. issues, starting with the district’s concerns about overdevelopment and traffic.

This makes Carolyn Ramsay the better choice in next month’s runoff election. The editorial board of the Daily News and the Los Angeles News Group recommends a vote for Ramsay on May 19,” wrote the Daily News.

The Larchmont Buzz also endorses Carolyn Ramsay as the best candidate to represent the interests of our neighborhoods with creative problem-solving. She has long been a champion for local concerns including improving city services, promoting preservation in historic neighborhoods, and maintaining green space in Los Angeles.

Ramsay was also endorsed by the Los Angeles Times and the Larchmont Chronicle.

David Ryu was endorsed by the Los Feliz Ledger this week.

“While on the campaign trail, Ryu has grown smarter and has demonstrated he is wise enough to surround himself with intelligent personnel to help better understand our sprawling district,” wrote the Ledger.

Ryu and Ramsay will face off tonight in a debate hosted by a consortium of neighborhood councils at Forest Lawn’s Hall of Liberty.  NBC Reporter Conan Nolan will moderate the debate. Doors open at 6 p.m. for early registration; the  forum starts at 7.  RSVP at advocacy.ucla.edu/4th-fourm or call (310) 794-6817.
