For kids, there will be two bounce houses, one for big kids and one for the little ones, fantastic balloon animals and colorful face painting. Â Silly Sally the Clown will amuse children with Magic and Puppets as she strolls the block.

Friends, family, and four-legged friends ~ all are welcome to mingle with neighbors, stroll the boulevard, and ride bikes, scooters and skateboards. Take a moment in this great big city of Los Angeles to enjoy a bit of small town fun.

Organizing committee member Christine Meyer, told the Buzz the first block party was organized by Michele Kneafsey in 1977 who lived on the 300 South Lucerne block.  She was inspired by a block party she attended in Chicago and decided it would be fun to bring neighbors together.  Other members of this year’s organizing committee include Robin Jameson, Ann Chang, Erin Walsh, Sandy Nasseri.
