Grilled Cheese in Support of LAUSD Candidate George McKenna

Wondering about the  upcoming election on August 12th? Yes, there is a Special Runoff Election for a single seat on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board, District 1 and there are two candidates: George McKenna and Alex Johnson.

george mckennaThe politically dynamic duo from the Longwood neighborhood, Daphne Brogdon and Mark Peel, are hosting an event July 30th to support candidate George McKenna, a retired Principal and Superintendent, in the LAUSD race. They invite area residents to join them for some of Chef Peel’s famous grilled cheese sandwiches, made popular at the former Campanile restaurant on La Brea.
