Nia Vardalos to Sign “Instant Mom” at Chevaliers Bookstore May 11th

Everyone’s favorite “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” star and local Hancock Park area resident Nia Vardalos will be signing books and chatting with customers at Chevalier’s Books on Saturday, May 11th from 2-4pm.

In perfect time for Mother’s Day on the 12th, “Instant Mom” is reviewed as a funny and poignant chronicle of Vardalos becoming the mother of an adopted toddler almost overnight, and the journey she and her husband Ian Gomez took in welcoming their new daughter to the family. The book includes a how-to adopt section as well as many anecdotal stories familiar to Angelenos raising children today, but tweaked with the signature wit and candor that can only be Nia Vardalos.
