Biking Los Angeles with Team LaBonge

The first La Bonge tour of the season took riders through a downtown route.

The kick-off for this season’s Tour LaBonge was last Wednesday June 6th and photographer Keith Johnson captured some shots of the 30-40 riders who took took to the streets on bike.

The first ride focused on the downtown area and began at City Hall. The riders, with police escort, pedaled past Olivera St and up to Los Angeles State Historic Park (what many call Cornfields Park), across the bridge to Boyle Heights, over the 6th St Bridge to LA Live, then up Broadway and back to City Hall again. A nice tight loop that introduced riders to new views

The next ride is this Wednesday, June 12th and will tour “Griffith Park.” Meet at the Mulholland Fountain at the corner of Riverside Dr and Los Feliz Bvd at 6 pm. Riders must be at least 12 years old, wear helmets and sign a waiver. See you there!
