PBS’ ‘Live From the Artists Den’ Rocks The Ebell

2013-08-07

Earlier this summer, The Wilshire Ebell Theater hosted one of today’s hottest bands in the season finale of the sixth season of PBS’ ‘Live From the Artists Den’. Indie rockers Imagine Dragons filled the theater with their emotionally charged alt-rock and gave a lot of lucky locals an intimate music experience.

According to the ‘Live From the Artists Den’ website:

The historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles hosted a performance by this year’s biggest break-out rock band, Imagine Dragons, for an explosive episode of Live from the Artists Den. Powered by the intense and athletic stage presence of lead singer Dan Reynolds, the Las Vegas-based band tore through a set full of its dance-inflected, percussion-heavy rock anthems, including the smash singles “It’s Time” and “Radioactive.”

The episode airs this weekend on PBS’ local station – KOCE. Be sure to check it out as the show highlights both the band and the history of The Ebell of Los Angeles, with some help from Ebell President Patty Hill.

Here’s a little preview…if you don’t know Imagine Dragons you will recognize their sound as their songs are everywhere (including the song that Good Morning America used to welcome Robin Roberts back from MDS treatment – ‘On Top of the World’)…
