Wilshire and La Brea is looking very different these days. Several months ago the Metro office at the northwest cover was demolished in preparation for construction of the Purple Line subway extension and the new Wilshire-La Brea station. This past week construction crews for Metro have been preparing the buildings on the southwest corner for demolition.
This week, the crews started to take down the former Bank of America building. The Buzz stopped by on Monday, August 24, 2015 to see how work was progressing, and photographer Joe F. Lombard took these photos documenting the de-construction. After the space is cleared, it will become a staging area for the subway project.
