Fire at Melrose Gallery and Antiques

A structure fire was reported at approximately 6:30p Monday evening in front of 5635 Melrose Avenue, Melrose Gallery and Antiques. Reportedly, the fire started outside the building and moved into the mezzanine of the building.

The lighting, furniture, mirrors and art shop is a familiar sight for area drivers as it sits at the northern most edge of Larchmont Boulevard, on the north side of Melrose Avenue.

LAFD Fire Station 52 responded to the fire with 55 firefighters achieving knockdown in 27 minutes. There were no injuries and no further details.
