As part of the advanced utility relocation activities for the Purple Line Extension, Metro contractors will be performing improvements to existing utilities to make room for the future Wilshire/La Brea Station of the Metro Purple Line. Starting Monday night, February 10, 2014 work will take place on Monday nights thru Friday nights, instead of the previous Sunday night through Thursday night schedule. The closure area remains the same. Northbound La Brea Avenue will be reduced to one lane and eastbound lanes on Wilshire Boulevard between South Detroit Street and South Orange Drive will be closed.
