Windsor Square resident June Bilgore was given the GWNC Citizen Recognition Award on Wednesday, Nov. 12th at the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council meeting.
Ms. Bilgore was honored for her many years of service to the community through the Windsor Square-Hancock Park Historical Society and its annual garden tour, the Ebell of Los Angeles, the Windsor Square Association, a domestic violence shelter Jemba, and other local organizations.
“I am greatly honored but feel strongly that a special thanks is due to all the members of the GWNC and our homeowner’s associations who do so much work preserving our area’s original beauty and keeping it a neighborhood,” Bilgore told the Larchmont Buzz. “These folks do a lot of ‘behind the scenes’ work that contributes enormously to all of us who live here.”
Much deserved! June is the secret weapon behind major successes for numerous local organizations. She has been unsung for too long.
